THE ARTIST
Braighlee Rainey, an emerging artist who grew up in the small town of Truckee, CA, captures the essence of femininity, body positivity, and self-love through her captivating artwork. Inspired by other women, nature and her creative lineage, she paints feminine abstract-realism portraits and figures using oil paints, charcoal, ink, collage, and gold leaf. With each brushstroke, Braighlee evokes small moments in time, connecting objects to memories and invites viewers to embrace the present.
Having studied painting the portrait under world-renowned artists in Rome, Italy, and completing a year-long online program at the Milan Art Institute, Braighlee brings a diverse range of techniques and influences to her work. Her art challenges historical portrayals of women, offering a fresh perspective through the feminine gaze paired with florals and bright colors.
This creative journey has led her on a beautiful path where she has been able to explore divine femininity, strength, and power as a human and a woman, understanding the intricate balance necessary to become a confident female leader. The more she paints, the stronger her sense of connection and exchange of energy between all living things in this world, along with a deeper understanding of her own purpose and sexuality. By delving into this self-discovery, she believes in fostering better understanding of oneself, leading to compassion and affinity towards others.
